As you begin your journey in APB, the Somatic Tactical Assault Rifle 556 will be your starting primary weapon.Most effective at medium to long range, the STAR 556 is a fully automatic rifle with a long delay between each shot. While you begin the game with the STAR, it is an effective weapon for experienced players as well and stands up well against NTECs and OBIRs in longer ranges.
The STAR's high accuracy and low recoil make the weapon a viable option for both medium and long range combat situations, but the weapon's slow rate of fire makes close quarters combat (CQC) a real challenge.
